As a graduate of the United Kingdom Hypnotherapy Training College (UKHTC), I am bound by their code of practice and ethics.
This ensures that you will receive the highest level of professionalism and care.
The UKHTC code of ethics is repeated below:
Hypnotherapists must earn the confidence of their clients, offering to each a full measure of service.
Hypnotherapists should strive to improve their knowledge and skill to benefit their clients.
The profession should safeguard the public against Hypnotherapists of deficient moral character or professional incompetence.
Hypnotherapists should observe all laws.
A Hypnotherapist must not illegally practise medicine and must recommend that a client seek medical advice where appropriate.
A Hypnotherapist should avoid dual relationships with clients.
A Hypnotherapist should seek consultation with other professionals upon request, in difficult situations or when the client will obviously benefit.
A Hypnotherapist must not reveal the confidences entrusted to him in the course of professional practise unless he is required to do so by law, or to protect the client’s welfare, or that of the community.
Hypnotherapists must ensure that their advertising and other public representations present a true picture.
Every effort must be made to ensure that the client is made aware that it is their own personal potential that produces changes.
Further information regarding the UKHTC code of ethics can be found by clicking the banner below.
I have also developed my own code of ethics which builds on the above and sets out in more detail the issues that are important to me in conducting my hypnotherapy practise. A copy of my full code of ethics can be found by clicking HERE.
